Schruz

Schurz Communications Inc. is a diversified privately-owned, nationwide communications company. As a print and web designer, I fulfilled a 24-hour turnaround time on static and animated ads.

Fast-paced Production

Design and production require a vast tool set with daily use of Microsoft's office productivity applications, Adobe's creative applications, HTML5, CSS, content management applications and database publishing. All these tools brought together helped fulfill a 24-hour turnaround on all creatives.

Print

Digital print ads for newspapers and magazines. In color or black and white; varying from tabloid size (11"x17") to small 1.5"x2.5". In English or Spanish.

Web

I produced a variety of static web ads in standard sizes, sometimes accompanying a print campaign.

Motion

Originally in Flash or GIF, then in HTML5, animated web ads adhered to strict size limits and were always a fun challenge to produce.

Design / Production Galleries

The following is a sampling of the all-digital print and web ads I designed including animations in Adobe Flash. (Flash ads have been converted to MP4 video for your viewing pleasure.)

Reach

Schurz published eleven daily and eight weekly newspapers in medium and small markets with a combined circulation of nearly 225,000. It also had ten television stations, owned thirteen radio stations, and operated three others, owned four cable companies, and a phone directory.
