Directional Signage

During the summer of 2007, two colleagues, a professor, and I set out to design a directional signage system for Art and Design Hall. Our final design consisted of plastic industrial strip curtains affixed with laser cut vinyl typography and graphics. Our work was showcased that summer in a benefit for the school. The system is now a series of permanent fixtures throughout the building.

Mock PBS DVD Series

Part of my final project at UIC was to create a self-directed design piece. I designed and crafted a box for a fictional PBS series about Chicago using essays by fellow students and myself. The box holds three slim DVD cases and features a two-fold flap on the back side.

AD 412 Book

My final project at UIC was to design, print, and bind a book. Using essays by fellow students and myself, I designed three distinct chapters. Each chapter has its own visual style while maintaining similar structures. The first chapter has a strict and clean personality. The second chapter has a more organic and playful visual style. The third chapter is bold and colorful, my favorite of the tree.
